As a gardener, you spend much time and energy tending to your plants and landscape. You water, weed, till, plant, trim, fertilize, and take pride in what your labors produce: fruits, vegetables, flowers, and a pleasing environment.
On October 9th I had the most exhilarating experience, went on a Ramble Tour, Davis California, soaked up some forest bathing. Guess who greeted me as I stepped into the redwoods.
They're everywhere! At least that's the way it seems to me. Where I grew up on the East Coast, creatures similar to these were considered exotic and only found in wooded, wild places. Not here! I'd wager there isn't a backyard in Yolo County without a troop of these critters encamped.
