SJC and Delta Field Crops

UC Cooperative Extension will host the SJC and Delta Field Crops Meeting on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 8:00am to 12:00pm. The meeting location is the Cabral Agricultural Center in Stockton (2101 E. Earhart Ave., Stockton, CA 95206).

The term soil health' has become a common term in agricultural research and management.

Rice production in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta region has been steadily increasing in recent years. While Delta acreage is only a fraction of that in the Sacramento Valley, Delta yields are consistent with statewide averages. I estimate that in 2023, the Delta had around 10,000 acres of rice.

The UC Field Crops, Alfalfa, and Forage Field Day will take place on Friday, September 29, 2023. The field day will take place at the Kearney Research and Extension Center, 9240 S. Riverbend Ave., Parlier, CA 93648.
