Planning a camping trip? One item you can leave off your packing list is firewood. The slogan, Buy it Where You Burn it! is a catchy reminder to purchase firewood at your destination. By bringing wood from home, you can unknowingly spread invasive pests and diseases that can harm trees.

Our partnership with Stanislaus County Library continues! The librarians have been so helpful and welcoming, and attendees are saying great things about our Master Gardener instructors.

If you haven't stopped by to see our booth at the Stanislaus County Fair, this is the last weekend! Come visit our booth in front of the Floriculture building located just inside the fairgrounds near the Arch gate off 900 North Broadway in Turlock this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, July 15-17.

Summer is here, and so is the Stanislaus County Fair! Our local University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Master Gardener Program volunteers are excited to have a presence at the fair this year.

One of my favorite things about being a Master Gardener is that I never stop learning about gardens, plants, and insects. Talking to 2022 Stanislaus County Master Gardener program students, who were wrapping up their 18-week course, caused me to reflect on what I have learned.
