Lavender has been used for centuries for many purposes. Lavender flowers can be found in bath salts, teas, baked goods, oils, and other products. This workshop is an exploration of the history of lavender and it's uses, and tips for how to grow it successfully in your garden.

If you spend much time outside, chances are you've sought the shade of a nearby tree. Whether walking your dog, visiting a shopping center, or having a picnic, a tree probably made your experience more pleasant.

Humans love anything new and different, and that includes plants for their garden. In the past, when bringing plants into California from other places, people had no idea this could cause environmental problems.
