Insidious Field Bindweed

There is a lot of twisting turning flowering field bindweed Convolvulus arvensis in my garden right now. Driving past fields near my home a couple of days ago it looked like snow had fallen. Not snow, but Field Bindweed.

One of my favorite childhood memories were spending Sunday's driving to my parent's favorite restaurant Patricia Murphy's in Westchester, NY with my Aunt Sadie. It was a magical place. We would wait for hours for a table, strolling through their magnificent gardens and shops.

UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley

I thought I had been to all the public and Botanical Gardens in the East Bay. But late in May, my sister asked to visit the UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley to help celebrate her birthday. What a treat.
