The weekend of Jan 21, 2022, was quite exciting with the football playoffs and winds gusts between 20 and 45 mph. miles per hour. Saturday, I woke up around 3 am to hear the winds in the background and the banging of branches against our patio cover.

The recent streak of warm weather has alerted the fruit trees around us to flower. Pictured above is a pluot tree budding in my backyard. What the heck is a pluot? It's a cross between a plum and an apricot both stone fruit trees. Pluots are a second generation of hybrid plum-apricots.
