When we moved into our home in Vacaville, back in 2012, we inherited a stunning garden. It has been so much fun getting to know all of the plants, some of which are quite sensitive while others are very robust.
The journey from nothing to something is often filled with many trials and many errors. February 2019, we purchased the home next to my mom. What was thought to be minor repairs soon became a gut and rehab. We finally moved into the house March 2020.
Aunt Molly's ground cherry. Moon and Stars watermelon. Country Gentleman corn. Each of these varieties began with landrace seeds, which were genetically diverse and much more adaptable than any of their inbred heirloom progeny.
