A year and a half ago when we replaced our front yard with drought tolerant landscape and drip irrigation, I desperately wanted to include Acacia cognata Cousin Itt'. I had seen it in a catalog and thought it would be perfect.

Pomegranates

Pomegranates originated about 4000 years ago in Persia and spread from there into northern India. Their cultivation reached throughout the Mediterranean, into Africa and Asia. Ancient mythological stories and the Bible mention pomegranates.

Trip Report

We had a road trip planned that got postponed until next year by the terrible fires. The only part that we did not cancel was a trip to Phoenix to surprise my long time friend on her 60th birthday. We flew in and weren't at all disappointed by the weather or the scenery.

Front Yard Update

A year and a half ago, I decided to take out my scruffy grass in the front yard and replace it with low maintenance plants, drip irrigation, and landscaping materials. I designed the planted areas, and, after, much research, selected the plants and purchased them.
