Under the Solano Sun
Seasonal observations by UC Master Gardeners of Solano County
This year I decided to try my hand at growing seeds. I have never actually done this, even though I have done so many other projects in the garden over the years. I picked up packets of cosmos and bachelor's buttons from my local nursery.
Some of us have planned our landscape to include areas of no greenery. Remember selling your lawn when water was scarce? Well, you may have tired of the cubic yards of bark or, worse yet, the crushed rock you replaced it with.
One of my favorite experiences about being a UC CooperativeExtensionMaster Gardener is sharing what I am learning with my granddaughter,Cleary. Most people assume that when you have a Master Gardener title that you know everything.
