The UC Cooperative Extension Lake County partners with growers, families, and youth to apply practical, science-based solutions across agriculture, natural resource stewardship, nutrition and health, and youth development. Embedded in our community, we help solve local issues and build a thriving future—from smart water and fire-wise strategies to hands-on 4-H programs and kitchen-table nutrition.

Youth and Community Education

4-H Youth Development

4-H is more than a club - 4-H is young people getting ready for the future. In 4-H, you will work with other people in a 4-H club, in your school,or with another organization. Mendocino-Lake 4-H Summer Camp

This week-long camp is filled with fun and exciting adventures for 4-H Members ages 9-13 (campers) and 14-18 (Teen Staff), with opportunities for Jr Staff (ages 12-13) and Lead Staff. Discover the Mendocino-Lake 4-H Summer Camp.

Fruits & Nuts

Major crop responsibilities include European pears, walnuts, olives, apples, and other tree fruit and nut crops (excluding wine grapes).
