UC Weed Science (weed control, management, ecology, and minutia)

I just returned from the Western Aquatic Plant Management Society (WAPMS) meeting in Coeur d Alene Idaho. My interest in aquatic weeds is mostly as they relate to interfering with irrigation and frost protection ponds in Californias North Coast grape growing region.

MSMA is an old herbicide that was sold for both the professional market for postemergence broadleaf and some grasses control in turf. It was also available in the home use market primarily for crabgrass management.

My second WSWS post today is intended to provide folks a sense of the involvement of UC weed scientists in the WSWS meeting and organization. I'll just run through a few UC highlights from the 66th WSWS meeting program for those that may not have been able to attend the meeting.
