We are collaborating with the University of California Davis Student Farm to host an in-person field workshop and chicken tractor giveaway! Our event will be happening immediately before the Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF) Small Farms Conference regional gathering in Davis and we encourage you to consider attending both events! Join us to:

• Learn about the field trial at UC Davis to study poultry-vegetable integrated farming.
• Learn about the setup and operation of mobile chicken coops (aka “chicken tractors”) in pastured and integrated poultry farming systems.
• Get mobile coop building plans and designs that you can build yourself.
• Get a secondhand chicken tractor! (see the giveaway rules, link in the registration form)

This field day is offered as part of the project titled: "Two Strong Wings, Cover Crops & Veggies: Developing the Next Generation of Integrative Farmers in California, Iowa and Kentucky" funded under the USDA Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program.
