- Practice basic gardening skills
- Learn tips for effective outdoor classroom teaching and meet the CA Curriculum Standards
- Understand the importance of teamwork to start and sustain a school/youth teaching garden
- Find out how to get more resources for successful school gardens
- Begin to plan their school/youth education garden program
