UC Master Gardener Shital Parikh will give a free talk from 10:00am – 11:00am focused on creating butterfly-friendly gardens using best methods. Her talk is part of San Diego River Park Foundation's Garden Party: An Earth Day Celebration, which goes from 8:00am - 12:00pm at Grant Park.
About the Event
Celebrate Earth Day by connecting with fellow nature lovers and enjoying a fun-filled Community Garden Party from 8-12. The event is FREE and all are welcome!
There will be garden themed-fun for all ages including:
- Native plant and garden art sale
- Art and craft activities
- Exciting educational presentations by Master Gardener and pollinator experts (Shital Parikh's talk 10-11am)
- ‘Build Your Own Garden’ workshop
- Complementary seed packages
- Refreshments and yummy treats for sale
