All About Berries: Combo Class

Master Gardeners and Master Food Preservers combine their knowledge in this class on berries. Master Gardeners will discuss how to grow and care for common berry plants with an introduction to less known varieties including goumi, goji, Nanking cherry, jostaberry, currants, lingonberry, honey berry, and mulberries. We will also review common diseases and pests in our area.  

Then Master Food Preservers will show you how to preserve berries in fun and creative ways. From interesting jams and jellies, flavored vinegars, dehydrated berries, and what to do with your preserved foods once you have them in your pantry.
