Overview
This Advanced IPM training is a hands-on, train-the-trainer workshop. By attending and completing the workshop, you agree to actively convey the information you learn to your community and other UC Master Gardener volunteers in your program.
Intended Outcomes
- Increased knowledge insect pests of vegetables, vegetable plant diseases and disorders, and vertebrate pests of gardens and homes to help you educate the public and other UC Master Gardeners.
- Increased knowledge of resources and materials to help you educate the public on general IPM topics including an IPM toolkit, online resources, and printed materials from UC ANR and UC IPM.
- Access to resources and materials to help you educate the public on vegetable pests and solutions including scripted PowerPoints, activities, handouts, and vegetable pest identification card sets.
- Learn what drives UC Master Gardener volunteers as a community and how together we can capture and celebrate efforts for future sustainability.
During the workshop sessions, we encourage you to focus your questions on the training topics addressed. We recognize you may have many questions to ask our speakers, but request that you limit any non-vegetable pest related questions.
