2017 Grapevine Virus Meeting
Thank you so much for your interest in participating in the review of Grapevine Leafroll and Red Blotch Virus research. We will be focusing on the research funded by the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s (CDFA) Pierce’s Disease and Glassy-winged Sharpshooter Board which added these two virus problems to its funding scope during the last 2 years.
Virus diseases pose a serious threat to grape and wine production in California and elsewhere. New challenges, such as the emergence of grapevine red blotch-associated virus, highlight the need to develop sustainable long-term solutions to these types of problems. Recent advances in science and technology have potentially opened up new approaches and provided new tools for dealing with such threats. Join us for this scientific meeting to discuss virus diseases of grapevines and develop a plan for finding long term solutions.
