Our nitrogen (N) course is taught online through a video series delivered by University of California (UC) researchers and extension specialists. Each module is eligible for Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) continuing education units (CEUs) covering Environmental impacts, Soil N cycling, Plant N utilization, N sources and budgeting, Irrigation and N management, and California cropping systems.
The course is open to anyone interested in learning more about N management in California. The curriculum addresses all the learning objectives set forth by the American Society of Agronomy (ASA) for the new California nitrogen specialty exam. Visit ASA's website to learn how to take to earn the new N specialty certification, take the exam and become eligible to sign off on N Management Plans. Note this UC course prepares students for the exam, but does not replace taking the exam. Refer to our FAQ page for answer to frequently asked questions.
This is an asynchronous 8-part video series course and eligible for 10 CCA CEUs. Note you may join the course at any time up until course closing date. See the register for course tab for more details.
