Under the Solano Sun
Seasonal observations by UC Master Gardeners of Solano County
We were in Berkeley recently to check on the status of a guitar repair job. While my husband was in the shop, I decided to go for a walk. I've always loved walking in this neighborhood of small, but lush front yards. Always on a look-out for ideas, I stumbled onto these two interesting front yards.
Recently, I visited Portland, Oregon, where I stumbled across a Pollinator Corridor in the Lloyd District, a commercial neighborhood, located in the North and Northeast sections of the city.
Colorful spring flowerbeds depend upon gardeners who prepare and plan for the months ahead. So mark your calendar. Save space on your To-Do list. Now is the time to shop for bulbs.
As I've noted before in this blog, I haven't been entirely convinced about the appeal of succulents. Maybe, however, it was a matter of finding the right one! I absolutely adore the charming Blue Waves' echeveria.
