Growing vegetables at home is fun (and healthy!) for the entire family. Whether growing in pots, raised beds or in the ground, University of California Master Gardeners will help you understand soil, fertilizers, the right veggies for the season as well as pest and disease control.
You could plant from dawn to dusk and still not plant every variety of tomato! Whether you are a novice or a pro, youll enjoy learning about tomatoes: their history and some fun facts, the many varieties, their culture, diseases and pests, growing in the ground vs.
In this hands-on class, youll be instructed on safe methods to preserve jam (full sugar, low sugar, sugar substitute, and no sugar varieties will all be discussed). While the jam is in the canner, youll learn about dehydrating herbs and develop your own herbal tea blend.

4-H AMBASSADOR PROGRAM Applications EXTENDED to April 12th Application deadline is Friday, April 12th, 2024. In person interviews to be held April 16th, 2024 at 6:00 pm. Location to be announced. Applications are available on Fresno County 4-H website.
