Hello all from the new shelter-in-place normal. We are all figuring out this new way of working and living, so in the meantime, stay calm, be compassionate, be positive and productive.

Paid administrative leave categories and permissible usage: Pursuant to President Napolitano's Executive Order Dated March 16, 2020, effective immediately, employees will be eligible to receive up to 128 hours paid administrative leave in order to cope with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Is Zoom fatigue a thing? I suspect it will be soon. While I joke that this social distancing is an introvert's dream, I don't like working from home, particularly when others are home, too.

Nominations are being accepted for the 2020 ANR Distinguished Service Awards, which are sponsored by UC Agriculture and Natural Resources and Academic Assembly Council.

To ensure that we are taking all appropriate COVID-19 precautions, the Placer, Nevada, and Sutter-Yuba UCCE offices are closed for face-to-face, in-person service through April 7, 2020. While we regret the inconvenience, these are precautions we are taking to support our communities.
