Pacific Flathead Borer Field Day

Pacific flatheaded borer (Chrysobothris mali, Family Buprestidae) has become an increasing pest problem in walnut orchards in the last decade. The adult (beetle) lays eggs on the branches, and larvae feed on the cambium layer, weakening and wilting the branches.
