Far North State Master Food Preserver Program

Program Goals

Providing research-based community nutrition and health information and educational programs for Shasta, Trinity, and Tehama Counties. 
 
Our main goals include: 
  1. Engaging in healthy community development by-
    • Strengthening the existing work and partnerships of health and nutrition leaders in our region, and
    • Promoting direct education and policy, systems, and environmental changes that lead to a positive impact
       
  2. Conduct applied research to support vulnerable populations (e.g., older foster youth) with their health-based needs
     
  3. Improving food security by expanding access to affordable healthy food
