Employee and Labor Relations

The UC ANR Employee and Labor Relations (ELR) unit works to foster a positive, harmonious, and productive work environment for ANR employees by providing direction and guidance on UC personnel policies and agreements, while ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, statutes and collective bargaining agreements. ELR provides comprehensive support for managing employee relations, resolving workplace issues, and addressing grievances, while offering balanced advocacy to ensure management and individual employee’s rights are protected.

ELR works closely with the Staff Human Resources, Academic Personnel and UC labor unions to ensure fair treatment, transparency, and consistency across UC ANR campuses, research sites, and administrative offices.
