Welcome to UCCE San Bernardino County

We develop and extend practical research-based information in agriculture and natural resources to the residents and workforce of the University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) San Bernardino County through a trained core of academics, staff, and volunteers.  Programs include Youth/4-H, Master Gardener, Master Food Preserver, Expanded Food and Nutrition Extension Program (EFNEP), Small Acreage Farms/Farm Management/Urban Agriculture, Natural Resources Management, Public and Commercial Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, and more.

Featured Project: Keeping Plants Alive

Trees cool urban heat islands, and their health should be a priority under drought and water restrictions. They can cool surface temperatures of asphalt, dark mulch, and synthetic turf by under 60 degrees in inland and desert cities. Here are more tips on how to keep plants alive under drought and water restrictions.
