New Soil Pit

A new soil pit for the students at the college to use for their classes.

Dr. Elizabeth from the Madera Community College Center has hands on learning classes.

I just wanted to than you once again for working with us to let us dig a soil pit at the 3 Sisters Garden for MCC students to use! This soil pit will help with many of our plant science courses and can of course be utilized for Master Gardeners trainings for soil characterization.

The Three Sisters Demonstration Garden is a large project developed by University of California Cooperative Extension Madera County Master Gardener's program in collaboration with Madera Community College Center as a permanent resource for residents of Madera County.

Developments to date has been made possible by considerable community support.

Since 1980, the University of California Master Gardener Program has been extending UC research-based information about home horticulture and pest management to the public. The UC Master Gardener Program is a public service and outreach program under the University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, administered locally by participating UC Cooperative Extension county offices.
