Working with Tables

Instructions for inserting a table into content.  Please note that tables should not be used in order to format content.

To add a table:

  1. To create a table, click the Table icon in the Text Editor.

  1. A dropdown will be displayed to allow you to select number of rows and columns. This can be changed afterwards as well.

Editing a table:

Please note: The width and height of cells are defined automatically and cannot be resized.

  1. While in the Text Editor, select the table you want to edit. Table menu will appear.

  1. Place cursor in the row or column that will be the header, then click the option in the table menu to toggle the Header row or Header column option:
  2. Additional actions using the Table menu:
    1. Insert Column, click Column menu icon, then select Insert column left or Insert column right to add the column relative to the column in which your cursor is selected.
    2. Delete Column, click Column menu icon, then select Delete column.
    3. Select Column, click Column menu icon, then select Select Column to highlight identified column where cursor is located.
    4. Insert Row, click Row menu button, then select Insert row above or Insert row below to add the row relative to the row in which your cursor is selected.
    5. Delete Row, click Row menu icon, then select Delete row.
    6. Select Row, click Row menu icon, then select Select row to highlight identified row where cursor is located.
    7. Merge cells, click Merge cells menu icon and select the option based on location of your cursor.
    8. Split cells, click Merge cells menu icon and select the option based on the location of your cursor.
    9. Add table caption, click Toggle caption menu icon. When this is enabled, enter desired caption that will display above the table.

Styling a table:

To change the table styles, place cursor anywhere in the table and select one or more of the following styles.
