Food Safety

Practicing food safety is essential to preventing foodborne illnesses. Use the following four steps during food preparation to help keep you and your family safe from harmful bacteria.

  1. Clean - Wash hands, rinse produce, clean surfaces
  2. Separate - Don't cross-contaminate
  3. Cook - Cook to the right temperature
  4. Chill - Refrigerate and chill foods properly
