Amadeo 65 Days / Dark purple / Fruit to 5" wide and 8" long.

The heaviest-bearing eggplant is also the most delicious. Amadeo is renowned for its huge yields of succulent, nutty, bitterfree fruit on spineless plants. Easy to pick and irresistible on the tongue, this is the eggplant you need for the veggie patch. You will probably need to support it once it begins bearing the heavy 5-inch-wide, 8-inch-long dark purple to black eggplants. Available in Walnut Creek and Richmond only. 

Dancer 65 Days / Deep Pink / Fruit to 3-4" diameter and 7-8" long.

Galine 65 Days / Deep Purple / Fruit to 3-4" diameter and 6-7" long. 

This is a classic, high-yielding, Italian black bell type eggplant. Known for exceptional flavor and texture, its very glossy, uniform, black to purple fruits are 6-7" long by 3-4" in diameter. Listada de Gandia 90 days / White & Purple / Fruit to 7" long. 

One of the most popular heirloom types, these yield 7-inch white fruits with charming purple stripes. This excellent variety hails from Spain, a country renowned for fine food. Beautiful, with fabulous flavor in the tender flesh! Available in Walnut Creek only. 

Nigral 65 days / Dark Purple / Fruit 3" wide and 8" long

Orient Express 58 days / Dark Purple / Fruit to 1½-2½" diameter and 8-10" long.

Dark purple Asian type eggplant. The fruits are attractive, slender, 8-10" long by 1½-2½" in diameter and glossy. The fruit is ready up to two weeks before other early varieties. The plant features an ability to set fruit in cool weather as well as under heat stress. Tender, delicately flavored and quick cooking.

Patio Baby 50 days / Dark Purple / Fruit 2" to 3" long

An AAS Regional Winner and the best container variety of eggplant. Bright purple flowers add beauty to this compact, edible ornamental. It's well-suited for balconies, patios, and gardens, as Patio Baby is a true mini. Produces mild flavored, thin-skinned 2–3" long fruit, perfect for grilling or roasting. Shikou 60 Days / Dark Purple / Fruit 6-10" long

If you love Orient Express, check out this new hybrid Asian type eggplant! Turkish Delight 75 Days / Dark Purple / Fruit 8-10" long

This Turkish style eggplant produces stunning, slender and spineless fruit with a dark purple color and glossy appearance. Turkish eggplants are more slender than globe types, and "chubbier" than Asian types. Expect upright plants producing large yields of uniform, elongated fruit with eye-catching, deep purple skin. Green Globe 75 days / Green / Perennial to 5 years.

The original improved artichoke, Green Globe flowers in early summer. The flower buds are deep green with a light purple tinge. A good harvest of 3-4 heads can be expected throughout the summer. They are 3-5 inches in diameter and have wonderfully thick, flavorful hearts. Bush, Celine 55 days / Lilac-Purple / Bush Type

These lovely lilac wax beans are known to be tasty and tender, even when served raw. Expect loads of 5" uniform beans on robust, bush habit plants. Great as a stand-alone variety, or create a gorgeous salad by using them raw with tender green beans! (Note that when cooked, purple beans turn green.)

Bush, Royalty Purple 55 days / Purple / Bush Type

An attractive plant with purple flowers and stringless, slightly curved 5” pods that are easily visible against the green foliage. Pods turn green when cooked. Meaty and flavorful, these are great for vegetable soup, or serve raw to show off the purple color.
 

Pole, Blauhilde 55 days / Purple / Pole Type

Blauhilde can only be described as SPECTACULAR! Why? Because both this climber and its beans are HUGE, because the plant, its rose-purple flowers and the deep purple pods are BEAUTIFUL, and because it's TASTY! The vine can reach 9 feet tall, and the pods stay tender and stringless, even grown to 10 inches long. With good resistance to mosaic virus, what's not to like about this German heirloom? Pole, Blue Lake 75 days / Green / Pole Type

This 7 foot tall variety produces flavorful 6-7" pods that are tender, meaty and very flavorful. A canning and freezing favorite. High yielding. 

Pole, Rattlesnake 75-80 days / Green & Purple / Pole Type.

Dark green pods with distinctive purple streaks grow up to 8". Dried seeds are light buff with splashes of dark brown, resembling a rattlesnake. Vigorous vines up to 10 ft. These are very tasty when young & tender, but can be canned, frozen or left on the vine to dry.

Armenian 65-70 days / Dark & Light Green / Harvest at 8" to 18" long.

Valued for its flavor and attractive fruits, this cucumber is also known as snake melon. It is a heavy producer of light and dark green striped fruit that have a curved shape. Armenian 'Metki Dark Green' 65 days / Green

This centuries old heirloom boasts cucumbers up to 36 inches long, but is best when picked at 12 inches! Expect a good quantity of bitter-free, very mild, tasty, crisp fruit. Itachi 44 days - White / Fruit 9" to 11" long.

Unique white color, great tasting and highly productive. Uniform 9-11” fruit. Trellising is recommended for straighter fruit. Great for stir-frying. Japanese Climbing 58-65 days / Green / Fruit to 9" long.

This Japanese climbing variety bears tender, crisp, and slightly tart 9" long cucumbers that are excellent for slicing or pickling. Listed by J.M. Lemon 65 days / Yellow / Round Fruit, 1½-2½" diameter.

Small, rounded, pale yellow cucumbers. Pick at 1½-2½" diameter. This versatile cucumber is sweet and flavorful, and doesn't have much of the chemical that makes other cucumbers bitter and hard to digest. Marketmore 76 58 days / Dark Green / Harvest at 8" to 9" long

Long, slender, dark green cucumbers. The refined "Marketmore look" has long been the standard for slicing cucumbers. The 8–9" fruits stay uniformly dark green even under weather stress. Begins bearing late, but picks for a relatively long time. Persian, Green Finger 60 Days / Green / Fruit 3-5" long.

These cute Persian baby cucumbers are smooth, thin-skinned, crisp, and ready to pick when just 3 to 5 inches long. Suyo Long 61 days / Green / Fruit up to 15" long.

Traditional long-fruited variety from China. Produces sweet-flavored, bitter free, ribbed fruit growing up to 15" long. Widely adapted, grows well in hot weather, and sets early. Unagi 55 days / Green / Harvest at 9" to 11" long.

A glossy, spineless cucumber with tiny seed cavities, crisp texture and excellent flavor, truly a cucumber you can't live without! High yielding! Best harvested at 9-11 inches long but stays crisp and delicious up to 14 inches long. High resistance to cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew and target spot.

Cider Jack 90 days / Orange / Fruit 10-14 pounds.

This one is a long time favorite! Known to be fast growing and early maturing, it produces prolific yields of shiny bright yellow crooknecks. Cube of Butter 50 days / Yellow / Fruit to 10" long

Enjoy these straightneck squash that are succulent and delicious with creamy white flesh. Golden Glory 53 days / Deep Yellow / Fruit 7" to 8" long.

An attractive zucchini, this variety has waxy, gold skin with a creamy white interior. 7-8” in size, it provides an excellent yield of blemish-free fruits. Success PM Straight Neck 50 days / Yellow / Fruit 6" to 7" long.

Teot Bat Put 65-70 days / Green / To 4" diameter and 6" long

This summer squash is enjoyable as a freshly sliced snack, saute, stir-fry, or even grated for zucchini bread. Nicknamed avocado squash because of its shape, it has glossy green skin, light yellow flesh, and a wonderful, sweet flavor. It is easy to grow and has good fruit set. Ripe fruits measure about 4" wide and about 6" long. Train to climb a vertical support for best air circulation and ease of harvest, or leave to sprawl on the ground. "I grew this last season and it was by far the most prolific summer squash in my garden. And it produced from June to October! I used it exactly as I use zucchini (including zucchini bread!), with excellent results. That's high praise from a true zucchini lover. " Available in Walnut Creek and Richmond only.

Zephyr 54 days / Yellow and Green / Fruit 4" to 6" long.

A Master Gardener favorite! Distinctive, slender fruits are yellow with faint white stripes and light-green blossom ends. Harvest young at 4-6" for unusually delicious, nutty flavor and firm texture. Vigorous, high-yielding plants. Acorn, Sweet REBA 90 Days / Orange flesh / Fruit to 1½ pounds

This is a high yielding, uniform, disease resistant variety known for good sugar production. REBA stands for Resistant Early Bush Acorn. If you are acorn-averse, try REBA, because this Cornell University release is one of the sweetest acorns, with dry and substantial flesh. Butternut—Butterbaby 100 days / Orange flesh / Fruit 4-6 inches

Butternut—Waltham 105 days / Orange flesh / Fruit to 4-5 pounds.

This 1970 All-America Selections winner from Massachusetts is still the benchmark for large butternuts. Larger fruits with small seed cavities and thick, straight, cylindrical necks. Kabocha—Sunshine 95 days / Deep Orange-Red / Fruit to 3-5 pounds.

This AAS winner bears stunning, scarlet fruit. The tender flesh is smooth, sweet, and bright orange - ideal for baking, mashing, and pies. Deep scarlet fruits are slightly flat-round, averaging 3-5 lb. on vigorous, short vines. Sunshine's appearance and eating quality are superior to other varieties of this type. Spaghetti—Pinnacle 85 days / Yellow / Fruit to 3 pounds.

High yielding, semi-bush variety with slightly sweet, nutty flavor. Average 3 pound fruits with a yield of 4-6 fruits per plant. Good companion plant for sunflowers. Bake like other winter squash, then flake out the noodle flesh into tasty spaghetti-like strands. Astia 48 days / Green / Harvest at 5"

Astia is a bush zucchini variety developed especially for container growing and planting in small space gardens. Early bearing and productive, the abundant zucchini develop near the base of the plant where they are easy to harvest. These uniform glossy-green zucchini have excellent flavor! Black Beauty 45-60 days / Dark Green / Harvest at 6" to 8".

A 1956 All American Selections winner, this heirloom summer squash grows on a compact, high-yielding bush (not a vine). Dark green fruit is best picked when 6-8” long. Easy to grow and great for freezing! Enjoy eating the blossoms as well.

Bush Baby 59 days / Striped Green / Harvest at 2" to 6"

These compact, bush type plants are at home in the garden or a large container. Bush Baby produces striking fruit with light and dark green stripes and have a wonderfully delicate, satisfying flavor. Dunja 47 days / Dark Green / Harvest at 6" to 8".

Early and powdery mildew resistant. Dunja is a high yielder of excellent quality, dark-green, straight zucchinis. Open plants and short spines make for an easy harvest.

Kefren 50 days / Medium-Dark Green. / Harvest at 3" to 8"

This is a new hybrid variety with great disease resistance! The open plants have fewer spines resulting in less skin irritation and easier harvests. The stem is firmly attached to the fruit but snaps easily for harvest. Mexicana 46 days / Gray Green / Harvest at 4" to 6".
