About the Event

April is an ideal time to commence planning your crops and ornamental flowers. However, it is also a period when pests such as slugs, earwigs, and snails are more prevalent. In this talk, Pamela Roper, UC Master Gardener will provide practical tips for successful gardening during this busy season. She will also identify suitable plants for your garden’s specific conditions and discuss effective maintenance techniques to prevent pests.

The talk (10 am to 11am) will be held inside the Community Garden area at McClellan Ranch Preserve.

The talk will be followed by a tour (11 am to Noon) of the community garden and UC Master Gardener demonstration garden. UC Master Gardeners will be available to answer garden questions.

Please bring a chair, water, and hat to the talk.

Parking: There is a parking lot with about 20 spaces at McClellan Ranch and an overflow parking lot with 30+ spaces, and 1 accessible space a short distance heading West on McClellan Road. The overflow parking lot is on the right.
