Spring is in full swing, and we're excited to share a month full of hands-on learning, community connection, and garden goodness! Whether you're planting, harvesting, or just soaking in the sunshine, there's something for everyone this April. Here's what’s coming up:
📚 April 3 – Sprouts Program @ Imperial Public Library
🕙 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Join us for a fun-filled morning of nature-themed stories and activities designed for our youngest gardeners!
🌾 April 5 – Farm Smart U-Pick Community Harvest
🕗 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Bring your baskets and your enthusiasm! Help harvest fresh produce straight from the field and learn about sustainable farming practices.
🌎 April 12 – IID Earth Day Celebration (No monthly meeting this month)
🕣 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
Celebrate Earth Day with interactive booths, eco-friendly activities, and community partners focused on sustainability. A great alternative to our regular monthly gathering!
🌻 April 16 – Gardening Education @ Sunflower Elementary
🕤 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
We're back in the garden with Sunflower Elementary to talk about soil, seeds, and how plants grow. Always a favorite!
🥕 April 22 – PENDING Carrot Harvest @ Farm Smart
🕙 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Tentatively scheduled – stay tuned! If confirmed, we’ll be out in the fields harvesting carrots and sharing the bounty with the community.

Let’s wrap up the month by celebrating the volunteers, educators, and green thumbs who make our programs possible. Bring a dish to share and help us honor our Gardeners with Heart!
