Junior Leadership Camp (JLC) is a leadership camp for 4-H members 11-13 years old and once you are 15 you can be a camp counselor. This was the first year I went there and it was really fun. My favorite session was where we put shaving cream on a balloon and tried to get it all off with a plastic butter knife. We learned how to communicate silently with one another in this session. We also made team flags for a teamwork activity and we played capture the flag in a two teams against two teams game; those two were my personal favorites.

They also had a huge playground; the part closest to the cabins was a tire ladder. Next to that was the smaller slide (which was not very small) and two towers with a bridge between them and a long rope ladder bridge up. Then there was a tall full size ship with a fire pole you could slide down and last was a huge, tall slide that was three stories tall and looked like it was built into a huge tree. There was a relay race held there and my team won.

I met a lot of new kids and I got along with my cabin mates well; we played three games of Uno and told stories about how we got into 4-H. I would definitely recommend JLC to others because not only do you meet new people but when you go you can feel more of a connection with nature.
