Becoming a Master Gardener Volunteer
Please read this article, " An Introduction to Being a Master Gardener ", to better understand what the annual obligations of our volunteers are in this program. There will be 16 classes weekly from January through April. The 2020 class will be on Thursdays, from 12:30 to 4:30 at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens in Fort Bragg. There will also be a Saturday session, the 2020 Winter Abundance Workshop in Boonville and possibly one other TBA. Classes are taught by University of California Cooperative Extension faculty and other experts. Next class will be Jan 2020 at the Botanical Garden in Fort Bragg.
A fee of $250 covers instruction and course materials. Trainees also need to complete Live Scan (fingerprinting) for a fee of $30 at Fort Bragg Police Department or the Sheriff's Office in Ukiah. Note: On an annual basis, our Master Gardener training class alternates location between the Mendocino UC Cooperative Extension in Ukiah and the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden in Fort Bragg.
