Needs Assessment for Soil Quality and Nutrient Management Program
My name is Joy Hollingsworth, and I am your new University of California Cooperative Extension Advisor for Soil Quality and Nutrient Management, serving Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare Counties. This is a new position that is co-funded by the USDA NRCS. I conduct education and research on soil quality and nutrient management, bringing to the forefront NRCS resources and UC expertise. I am conducting a needs assessment to better understand the challenges faced by San Joaquin Valley growers. I am interested in discovering what areas you would like to see more research and extension of information. My goal is to develop a program that serves your needs, and the best way for me to do that is to get input from the community that I am serving. The information you provide in the survey will have a direct impact on the types of educational and research projects that I pursue in order to serve you as my clientele. Participation is voluntary, but it will help me better serve the agricultural community if you can take this survey, which should take about 5 minutes of your time.
