Practicing food safety is essential to preventing foodborne illnesses. Use the following four steps during food preparation to help keep you and your family safe from harmful bacteria.
- Clean - Wash hands, rinse produce, clean surfaces
- Separate - Don't cross-contaminate
- Cook - Cook to the right temperature
- Chill - Refrigerate and chill foods properly
