UC ANR’s Small Farms Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program offers tools for growers to manage pests using a variety of control methods. This ecosystem-based strategy works towards long-term prevention of pests through a combination of techniques including

  • Cultural control
  • Physical/Mechanical control
  • Biological control
  • Chemical control (last resort)

Stay Tuned for New Resources!

To help address the pest management challenges unique to small-scale growers, the UC Small Farm IPM workgroup members are currently collaborating with statewide colleagues to develop IPM resources adapted to small farm needs. The team aims to have these new resources available by the end of 2025.

In the meantime, check out the comprehensive UC IPM website for more information on integrated pest management.
