In keeping with sound business practices, UC ANR creates, gathers, and maintains operational and historic records of its activities. UC has established the Records Management Program to ensure that UC records are appropriately created, managed and preserved, and retrievable when needed.

Financial Services has responsibility for the oversight of all external audit activities, with the exception of the Regents financial and A-133 audits, which are coordinated by the respective campus controllers offices.

In order to establish and maintain an effective accountability structure, the following business practices are recommended. Assigning responsibility to appropriately handle the organizations operating functions and regulatory requirements, while meeting goals and objectives.
