Our volunteers are an essential part of the 4-H Youth Development Program. By volunteering, you are helping to grow the skills of 4-H youth, help them find their spark and become our future leaders. Volunteering in 4-H is flexible and rewarding.
The Weed Science Program area of focus includes agricultural (rangeland and crop) and invasive weed control (chemical, mechanical, cultural, and biological control), weed ecology, weed monitoring and forecasting, vegetation restoration, and integrated control strategies.

4-H SUMMER CAMP CAMP 2025-2026 PLANNING BEGINS NOW! We are in the process of re-strategizing for a June 2026 Camp. 4-H is a volunteer-run organization. This means that all of our planning, implementation and actualization of Camp must come from a dedicated collection of volunteer adults and teen leaders.

The Plumas-Sierra County 4-H Council offers a $500 Scholarship for high school seniors planning to attend college or a trade school. The applicant must be a current Plumas-Sierra 4-H member with at least 3 years in the program. Deadline is April 30th.
