Just roses Roses are planted bare root in January or February, and other rose tasks may be done this month. Tasks New roses of many varieties are featured in magazines and articles - or view them online. Look for those you like, select ones that are suitable for your area, and buy them bare root.
It's not uncommon for a garden to seem a bit bare from late fall through early spring, when very little is in bloom. Luckily, hardy cyclamen and hellebores can help fill this gap by providing color from flowers while adding interest from leaf shapes and patterns as well.
