Merced County 4-H Clubs

Local 4-H Clubs offer programs of interest to youth in their communities. Each club is coordinated by a group of adult 4-H volunteer leaders and run by the youth 4-H Members and youth Club Officers. Most Clubs have a monthly Club meeting for all members and then separate meetings for each "project".

Special Interest Groups

4-H Special Interest Groups Some special interest topics are offered on either countywide or local basis. Most of these are short-term, but some run year-round. Some classic examples include the Friends Helping Friends Day, Summer Science Academy and 4-H Guide Dog Puppy raisers.

4-H Projects

The 4-H project is a cornerstone of the 4-H program. The Learn-by-Doing philosophy is directly related to the 4-H project and the learning and doing and making and exploring. Members gain experience and the size of the projects can increase or additional projects can be expanded.
