Guidance for 4-H Activities During COVID

Updated March 17, 2022 Update to in-person activities, effective March 12, 2022. The San Mateo-San Francisco 4-H Youth Development Program is implementing the California 4-H COVID In-person guidelines. Masks and social distancing are no longer required for local indoor and outdoor 4-H activities.

Active 4-H members throughout the county can sign up to join these projects. You will need to contact the project leader(s) for more details on meeting requirements, location and times. Note: The project will be listed under the sponsoring 4-H Club in the ZSuite enrollment system.

The University of California 4-H Youth Development Program serves youth and teens in 57 of 58 California counties through traditional clubs, after-school programs, state-wide leadership conferences and camps.

Adult Volunteer - NEW

Age Requirements: Adult volunteers: Must be 18 years old and up Adult chaperones: Must be 21 years old and up The 4-H Year starts July 1 and ends June 30 of the following year. Most of the project and club activities follow the school year and are held from August through May/June.

HLA Sessions and Application Info

...is March 7, 2020, 10am to 4pm ...is held at UC Elkus Ranch at 1500 Purisima Way, Half Moon Bay. ...We do our best to coordinate rides with other HLA youth/parents that are attending. Parents are welcome to attend for the first hour of Orientation! Light Breakfast, Lunch, and Snacks are provided.
