As adults prepare to work with young people around the experiential learning process, they must consider the age group involved and tailor the steps of the experiential learning process accordingly.
Experiential learning activities are characterized by three essential components. In order for participants to truly gain the benefits of experiential learning, it is critical that facilitators identify and incorporate these elements into activities.

Research: 1-20 year old citrus plantings, open fields for planting, greenhouses, state-of-the-art computerized packline grading system, walk-in coolers, fruit quality lab with a titrator, general-use research lab, weather stations, a dormitory that sleeps 3-4 people, and high-speed connectivity.
