Karen Klonsky, emeritus University of California Cooperative Extension specialist in agricultural and resource economics at UC Davis, died on Sept. 26, 2018, at age 66 after an extended illness.

Plant diseases their occurrence and severity result from the impact of three factors: the host plant, the pathogen, and the environmental conditions. This is represented with the disease triangle. If any one of the three factors is missing, the triangle is not complete, no disease will occur.

I spent the day at the Ideation Workshop. The workshop is designed to get us to think differently. While that's not easy, illustrations of success certainly help. UC ANR definitely has that example.

With the annual Master Gardener's Wreath Making Workshop coming up on December 1, 2018 (see the flyer below), I thought it might be interesting to look into the history of wreaths. What I discovered were two different histories of the wreath.

Registration for the annual 4-H Youth Summit Leadership Conferences is now open through December 3rd, 2018. These 4-H Leadership conferences are an event for all 4-H members with middle school ages.
