Passion fruit plant flourishes against the odds

On a fluke I picked up a passion fruit plant at my local farmer's market. A few of my Master Gardener friends had been successful growing it and had raved about the fruit. I, however, really knew nothing about growing it and very little about how to use it.

On Tuesday, November 27th , the 4-H Leaders Council will hold its monthly meeting at 7pm. The location will be at the County Agricultural conference room at 1432 Abbott St. in Salinas. All 4-H families are invited to attend and take part in the councils discussion and planning.

Scoring a ticket to the BugFest

The suggestion to "Eat a Bug on Giving Tuesday" was enough to get me to open the email. Now I'm trying to figure out how I will work a 'BugFest' into my afternoon next Wednesday. Jim Farrar has agreed to eat a pest if at least 20 people make a donation of $10 or more to UC IPM.
