Glenn County 4-H Program

The purpose of 4-H Youth Development is to help diverse young people discover and develop their potential and grow into competent, contributing, and caring citizens. Learn by doing activities, youth-adult partnerships, and research-based educational programs help young people enhance their leadership abilities and develop a wide range of other life skills.

 

Glenn County 4-H Program

Glenn County maintains a large 4-H program,which includes seven clubs, 80 adult volunteers, and over 350 youth. All 4-H leaders are volunteers who give their time to provide leadership and training to youth ranging in age from 5 to 18 year old.

 

Motto

"To Make the Best Better." Its intent is to inspire young people to continue to learn and grow and to make their best efforts through participating in educational experiences.

The University of California (UC) 4-H Youth Development Program (YDP) engages youth in reaching their fullest potential while advancing the field of youth development.

UC 4-H provides meaningful opportunities for all youth and adults to work together to create sustainable community change.

UC 4-H engages young people in three primary content areas: civic engagement and leadership, healthy living, and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
