Website accessibility is federally mandated. Websites with significant inaccessible components can be seen as discriminatory against persons with disabilities, in violation of Title III of the ADA, which is a strict liability law.
All web content creators at UC ANR should create accessible digital content in compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2. There are numerous resources available to support this, such as the UC ANR accessibility website and the robust UC Davis accessibility website. Penn State has published tips for creating accessible content and summaries of the WCAG guidelines that may be helpful as well.
