About the Event
There’s nothing like the pop of a freshly sealed jar of homemade jam—except, perhaps, the thrill of seeing that jar on display at the San Mateo County Fair. Join us on April 18 for a free online cook-along workshop to prep and preserve your very own jam. You’ll follow a research-based recipe to create delicious homemade jam from your favorite fruit, and we’ll walk you through the entire process of entering your creation into the County Fair this June. It’s a wonderful way to share a sweet treat with friends, family, and the whole community. You’ll have jam to enjoy at home and another reason to visit the fair in June--every fair entrant receives a free admission ticket to the fair!
