Why have 4-H record books? 4-H record books serve a variety of purposes in the California 4-H Youth Development Program. While society has changed, the goals of teaching record-keeping to youth remain essentially the same. 4-H record books give members an opportunity to reflect on their yearly work.
All 4-H adult volunteers must apply and be appointed annually. Please follow the steps below to apply to be a 4-H adult volunteer. All new 4-H volunteers must go through a screening process. Our #1 priority in 4-H is the safety of young people.
Volunteers are important to help 4-H youth "learn-by-doing". As a 4-H volunteer, you work side-by-side with 4-H youth in youth-adult partnerships, where you grow together in shared responsibility and decision-making.
