Field bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis) is a perennial vine native to the Mediterranean region of Europe and Northern Africa that has become naturalized throughout much of the world. The species can reproduce vegetatively (through the spread of rhizomes) and via seed production.

Sabbatical report April 2019 I've been on sabbatical now for a few months, and it's time to report. I've been working on updating all my course materials: slides, reading and labs, for the fall. This has been a blast, and a lot of work! Especially the labs.
Spring really brings out the purple in my garden. My lavender is putting on a nice show with its fat purple sticks, Lavendula Grosso' has been my favorite for a number of years. It does well-situated in direct sun with minimal hand watering.
