I went to the 4-H Rock Paper Scissors Event at Hansen Agricultural Center. More than twenty kids attended the event! There were a lot of arts and crafts tables. We made the crafts to give as gifts to our family and friends.

I was looking forward to meeting with the Pear Advisory Board last week. It didn't happen. Before the committee reached the UC ANR agenda item, the building was evacuated due to a bomb threat. That was a first for me. Sadly there were eight such threats in Sacramento that morning.

Lindcove REC citrus attracts a crowd

Lindcove Research and Extension Center hosted its annual citrus variety tasting for growers and other industry members on Dec. 14. The following day, they welcomed members of the public to sample over 100 different citrus varieties.
